Paediatricsis one of the major specialties in the field of medicine; it deals with the study, care, and treatment of children and adolescents from birth to 18 years of age. Paediatrics is very interesting, and it covers a wide range of subjects relating to the normal growth and development of children and adolescents, as well as identifying and managing various health challenges of children and adolescents in line with best international practice.

The Department tries to lay emphasis on skills acquisition and appropriate knowledge base for its students to enable them to compete favourably with their colleagues from other well-established Medical schools within and outside the country.
