Dr.Thomas Anthony Awolowo graduated from the College of Medicine, Olabisi Onabanjo University with Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery Degree in 2004. After service in Private and Government establishments between 2005-2010, had his Residency training at Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital Complex, Ile-Ife, Osun State and Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, Osun State between 2010-2016. Dr Thomas A. A is a fellow of the National Post-graduate Medical College following his Dissertation on “Correlation between Type Diabetes Mellitus and Lens Thickness”. He is a member of the Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria and Honorary Consultant to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital.  He assumed duty in the Department of Radiology 2017. He is currently a Lecturer I in the Department.

He has published many articles both in local and international journals. He had served as the departmental coordinator between 2020 to 2022 and now reappointed on the 1^st of August, 2024 by the Vice Chancellor.
