Dr. Ademola A. Idowu is a medical graduate of Ogun State University, (now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye. He graduated in April 1996. He had an exemption from the National Youth Service corps program.

He had his compulsory Internship at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital in 1996-1997. He worked as Medical Officer under the Kwara State Ministry of Health and later University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital.

He later proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex where he had his Residency program in Laboratory Medicine (Chemical Pathology) between 2007-2013. He became a Fellow of West African College of Physician in 2013.

He joined the services of Ekiti State University as Lecturer 1 in January 2014. He has scientific publications to his credit in both local and international journals. He became a Senior Lecturer in 2017

He is a member of several Professional bodies including Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Medical and Dental Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), College of Nigerian Pathologists (CNP) 2013, National Association Of Clinical Chemist (NACC)
