Dr. (Mrs.) O. C. Ogidan is a nurse with a special interest in the sexual and reproductive health of individuals and families. She became a registered nurse in 2004 after graduating from the then-School of Nursing, Ado-Ekiti. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Science in 2010 from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife; her Master in Nursing Science (MSc Nursing) in 2015; and her Post-graduate Diploma in Education from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, in 2017. She obtained her Ph.D. (Nursing Science) in 2021 from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. She is equally registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a nurse educator, public health nurse, midwife, and nurse. She assumed duty in the Department of Nursing Science as Lecturer II on May 2, 2017. She is currently a senior lecturer.

She has published many articles, both in local and international journals. She is a member of the following academic and professional bodies: the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), the Nigerian Society of Sigma Alpha Alpha Upsilicon Chapter of Sigma Tetha Tau International, the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), the National Association of Nigerian Nurse Educators, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, and the Girlz Research Club. She has served the department and university on various committees. She was appointed the acting head of department on October 1, 2023.
