Dr. (Mrs) Funmilayo A. Adewumi is the current Coordinator of the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences since December, 2022. She is a Fellow of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN) and holds a Ph.D in Medical Molecular Biology from the University of Benin, Benin City. She is a medical microbiologist with research interest in Antimicrobial Resistance using One-Health approach and Host-Pathogen Genomics. She was a research Scientist at the Institute of Biotechnology, Brandenburg University of Technology, Senftenberg, Germany. She has published articles in learned journals and attended scientific workshops and conferences both local and international.
