Philosophy of the Department
Departmental philosophy is to produce doctors who are safe and confident in managing children generally irrespective of their disease condition or clinical state. The student’s clinical rotation is designed in such a way that the students are taught the basic rudiments of Paediatrics and Child Health during their junior posting while the senior posting is targeted at consolidating on the knowledge acquired during the junior posting by exposing them to more complex tasks which are needed in managing Paediatric clients.
Our dedication extends beyond the lecture halls; we are also deeply involved in patients’ care, ensuring that our students not only understand the science of Paediatrics and Child Health but also the art of being a compassionate healthcare provider.
The goal is to ensure that we produce doctors who are safe, competent and compassionate to manage our children.
Research is one of the major foci of our Department. We continually engage to push the boundaries of medical knowledge through rigorous scientific activities. Our faculty members are actively involved in quality research projects that address pressing healthcare challenges and further improve the health of society.
As we look to the future, the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health remains committed to its core mission: fostering the next generation of medical professionals, advancing medical research, and making a significant impact on the healthcare sector.
