Dr. Adetunji Obadeji, MBChB, PgDip.Ed., MPhil., FMCPsych
Dr. Obadeji is a Senior Faculty member, an experienced researcher, clinician, and Health Professions Educator. He has previously served as Acting Head of the Department on two occasions before assuming his current role.
His primary research interests include mood disorders, addiction, and Medical Education. Passionate about teaching and mentoring, Dr. Obadeji is interested in employing innovative, student-centered strategies to actively engage and inspire the next generation of doctors and psychiatrists.
As the Acting Head of the Department, he oversees daily operations, including patients’ care, teaching and learning, and research. His vision is to create a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork and inter-professional partnerships, enhances teaching and learning, and delivers high-quality patient care while advancing knowledge in Psychiatry and mental health.
